We hope you will help us welcome our Mountaineers to their new homes. We will transition our students with minimal disruptions for our community neighbors.
On Saturday, August 13, you will move into your new home on campus. Arrive at your residence hall between 8 and 11:30 a.m. if you attended Orientation on or before June 15, or between 12:30 and 5 p.m. if you attended Orientation after June 15.
Academic sessions will be held on Monday and Tuesday beginning at 8:30 a.m. for some colleges/schools. Check with your college/school for a specific start time and agenda. You will meet with faculty and administrators from your academic unit before you even jot one note or listen to one lecture.
Think carnival – WVU-style! On Sunday, August 14, Mountaineer Midway will offer fun games, good food and student organizations to check out at the Student Rec Center.
Get ready for the first gathering of the entire freshman class on Monday, August 15. Held at Mountaineer Field (literally on the field), first-year students will be greeted by the Pride of West Virginia Marching Band, have a class photo taken and see their first Mountaineer fireworks show.
