7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.  New Student Orientation – Program begins in the Mountainlair and continues through the day; students and their guests will be given directions to locations for academic advising, seminars, etc.  
8 a.m. -  2 p.m. Residence Hall Check-In for New Honors Students – Assigned residence halls

For new Honors students. Food, fun and games.

11 a.m. - 6 p.m. ‘I Survived Move-in’ Parent Reception – Fifth Floor, Evansdale Crossing
8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Honors Retreat – Mountainlair Ballrooms/Various locations
Please plan on a total of 3 hours for this activity. Student's assigned time and location is dependent on which Honors 298o Orientation Class they are assigned. Specific times and locations will be sent to student's MIX email account in early August.

Residence Hall Floor Meetings – See your RA for details and your assigned meeting time. 
Meet your neighbors at your first floor meeting.
5:45 p.m. Commuter Students Tour Commuter Lounge - Betty Boyd Lounge at E. Moore Hall 
Meet the Community Assistants and tour the Commuter Lounge. You'll go to the picnic at the Mountainlair after the tour. Park in the Mountainlair Parking Garage, top floor. (Lot designation is ST-2.)
6 - 8 p.m.
Welcome Week Picnics and Activities for New Students – Rec Center Courtyard, Evansdale; and the Mountainlair Plaza, Downtown 
For new undergraduate (including transfer, international and commuter) students. Food will be served 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
10 p.m. - 2 a.m WVUp All Night – Mountainlair Commons, Downtown
For all students. Free food, activities and giveways.

7 a.m. - 6 p.m. (times vary) Adventure/Service Activities for Commuter Students, Transfer Students and Downtown Residents (Boreman, Dadisman, Stalnaker, Seneca, Summit and Honors) – Meet your group and depart from the Mountainlair Plaza.

Students should choose one activity.  Students who participated in an Adventure WV program in summer 2019 need to choose a Community Service or Adventure activity for Welcome Week as the programs offered during the summer are different than those planned for Welcome Week.

9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (times vary by hall) Navigate WVU  for Evansdale Residents (Bennett, Braxton, Brooke, Lincoln, Lyon and Oakland) –Blue and Gold Room, Evansdale Residential Complex (Towers).

For new undergraduate students. Join your RA and other students on your floor to learn your way around campus and get important tips on how to succeed at WVU. You'll find where your classes will be held (and other key locations) so you'll be prepared for the first day of class.

Your RA will let you know the specific program time for your floor - be sure to check with them.

6 - 9 p.m.

Mountaineer MovieFest and Student Organization Fair (for all WVU students) – WVU Coliseum
Activities include a student organization fair, cornhole and a movie, and we'll be serving your favorite snacks. 

Commuter Students - park at the Coliseum and meet at the Blue Gate at 5:45 p.m.

8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Transfer New Student Orientation – Mountainlair Ballrooms
For new undergraduate transfer students. Get an overview of all the services available at WVU, meet the staff who are here to help you and make new friends with other transfer students.
9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (times vary by hall) Navigate WVU for  Downtown Residents (Boreman, Dadisman, Stalnaker, Seneca, Summit and Honors) – G20 Ming Hsieh Hall.

For new undergraduate students. Join your RA and other students on your floor to learn your way around campus and get important tips on how to succeed at WVU. You'll find where your classes will be held (and other key locations) so you'll be prepared for the first day of class.

4 p.m. 

Navigate WVU for  Commuter Students – G20 Ming Hsieh Hall

For new undergraduate students who commute to campus. Join Community Assistants and staff from the Office of Commuter Student Programs to learn your way around campus and get important tips on how to succeed at WVU. You'll find where your classes will be held (and other key locations) so you'll be prepared for the first day of class. 

After the presentation, you'll walk over to the Mountainlair for bowling and finger foods with the Community Assistants and staff from the Office of Commuter Student Programs and then travel together to Monday Night Lights at Milan Puskar Stadium. 

Commuter students should park in the Mountainlair Parking Garage, top floor. (Lot designation is ST-2.)
1 - 4 p.m. New Graduate Student Orientation – Brooks Hall, Room 202
All incoming graduate and professional students encouraged to attend. Register to participate by August 12.
6  p.m. Residence Hall Floor Gathering – Meet your RA at your assigned gathering point to head on over to Monday Night Lights. Whether you walk or ride a bus, we'll be sure to get you to where all the action is. 
7 p.m.  Downtown Buses Depart for Monday Night Lights – Buses will leave Short Term Parking Area 10 (ST-10) on Campus Drive and run to Milan Puskar Stadium. (Residents of Boreman, Dadisman, Honors, Stalnaker, Summit and Seneca.) 
7:30 p.m.    Commuter Students Depart Mountaineer Station for Monday Night Lights - Park in Area 81 (1112 Van Voorhis Road) and gather in the Mountaineer Station lobby
8 p.m. Monday Night Lights – Milan Puskar Stadium
For all new students. Don't miss your first gathering of the year on Mountaineer Field (literally on the field). 
****Students need to follow WVU's Clear Bag Policy at Monday Night Lights.

New undergraduate and transfer students are required to attend the Academic Session for their college or school. Specific information will be sent to student's MIX email account around August 13.

2 - 3:30 p.m. Residence Hall Floor Meeting – See your RA for details.
You'll learn about your residence hall community and have a chance to ask questions. 
3:45 p.m.    Commuter Students Gather for FoodFest and FallFest – Meet at Evansdale Crossing; park at the Coliseum
4 p.m. FoodFest – Evansdale, Short Term Lot 4 near Student Rec Center and Evansdale Crossing
Feed your inner foodie and try a variety of cuisines.
5 p.m. (gates open at 4 p.m.) FallFest – Evansdale Rec Fields
An evening of music and fun! Performers to be announced. WVU students may bring one guest. Guests must be at least 17 years old and present a valid photo ID. Guests and their WVU student host should enter FallFest at the same time; unaccompanied guests will not be admitted. 

WVU faculty and staff may attend FallFest with a valid WVU ID.  

FallFest Guidelines: Wristbands Required, No Smoking, Alcohol-Free Event, No Purses, Bags or Backpacks of Any Kind. Check the website for additional details.
