7:30 a.m.   New Student Orientation - Shuttle service begins departures from the Coliseum to the Mountainlair.
8:15 a.m. - 5 p.m. New Student Orientation - Program begins in Mountainlair and continues through the day; students and their guests will be given directions to locations for academic advising, seminars, etc.  
8 a.m. 2 p.m. Residence Hall Check-In for New Honors Students – Assigned residence halls
3 p.m. 5:30 p.m.
Honors Cookout – Marriott at Waterfront Place
For new Honors students, parents and guests. Students arrive beginning at 3 p.m. Parents and guests should arrive beginning at 4 p.m.
6 p.m. – 7 p.m. Honors Induction Ceremony – Morgantown Event Center, Marriott at Waterfront Place
For new Honors students, parents and guests.

Welcome Week Wristband Activation – Student Recreation Center lobby, Evansdale and Mountainlair Commons, Downtown
For all WVU students. If you are unable to download the app or have difficulty registering, please go to a wristband activation location and someone will assist you. 
11 a.m. – 6 p.m. ‘I Survived Move-in’ Parent Reception – Fifth Floor, Evansdale Crossing
12:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. Honors Retreat – Creative Arts Center, Evansdale
For new Honors students.
4:30 p.m. 5:30 p.m. (times vary by residence hall)
Residence Hall Floor Meetings – See your RA for details.
Get to know your neighbors at your first floor meeting.
5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. Welcome Week Picnics for New Students – Rec Center Courtyard, Evansdale; and the Mountainlair Plaza, Downtown
For new undergraduate students. Menu: Grilled barbecue chicken breast, hamburgers and black bean burgers, baked beans, pasta salad, fruit, cookies, condiments and bottled water.
5 p.m. – Midnight WVUp All Night for all WVU Students –  Mountainlair and Mountainlair Plaza
Stop by for a fun-filled evening and free food.

7 a.m. – 6 p.m. (times vary) Adventure/Campus Recreation/Service Activities for Commuters and Downtown residents (Boreman, Dadisman, Stalnaker, Seneca, Summit and Honors)
For new undergraduate students. Students should choose one activity.  Students who participated in an Adventure WV program in summer 2018 need to choose a Community Service or Adventure activity for Welcome Week as the programs offered during the summer are different than those planned for Welcome Week.

9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (times vary by hall) Campus Traverse for Evansdale residents – Evansdale Residential Complex Blue and Gold Room
For new undergraduate students. Join your RA and other students on your floor to learn your way around campus. You'll find where your classes will be held (and other key locations) so you'll be prepared for the first day of class.
9 a.m. 5 p.m.
Welcome Week Wristband Activation – Student Recreation Center lobby, Evansdale; and Mountainlair Commons, Downtown
For all WVU students. If you are unable to download the app or have difficulty registering, please go to a wristband activation location and someone will assist you. 
6 p.m. 9 p.m. Mountaineer MovieFest and Student Organization Fair (for all WVU students, wristband required) – WVU Coliseum
Activities include a student organization fair, cornhole and a movie. Each student will receive two free tickets for food. Additional food can be purchased with a credit or debit card (sorry, MovieFest vendors cannot accept cash or Mountie Bounty). All students who want to participate in MovieFest need a wristband.

For new undergraduate students. Students should choose one activity only. Begin your experience at Evansdale Crossing; students may check in there.

For new undergraduate transfer students. Get an overview of all the services available at WVU, meet the staff who are here to help you and make new friends with other transfer students.

2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. New Graduate Student Orientation – Gluck Theatre, Mountainlair
All incoming graduate and professional students encouraged to attend. RSVP by August 9.
6 p.m. – 7 p.m. Residence Hall Floor Meetings – See your RA for details.
Get to know your neighbors at your second floor meeting.
7:30 p.m.  Downtown Buses Depart for Monday Night Lights – Buses will leave Short Term Parking Area 10 (ST-10) on Campus Drive and run to Milan Puskar Stadium. ( Note-This time has been pushed back 15 minutes due to the weather. Students are encouraged to wear rain gear.)
8:30 p.m. Monday Night Lights – Milan Puskar Stadium (Note-This time has been pushed back one half hour due to the weather.Students are encouraged to wear rain gear.)
For new undergraduate students ( wristband required). Don't miss the first gathering of the entire freshman class on Mountaineer Field (literally on the field).
7 p.m. Men's Soccer Gold-Blue Intrasquad Scrimmage – Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium
Admission is free for all fans.

New undergraduate students are required to attend the Academic Session for their college or school.

9 a.m. 7 p.m. Welcome Week Wristband Activation – outside Bennett Tower, Evansdale (look for tents and signs). The Bennett Tower location is the only one available today. 
For all WVU students. If you are unable to download the app or have difficulty registering, please go to a wristband activation location and someone will assist you. 
10 a.m. Noon Group Exercise Sampler (for upperclassmen) – Rec Center Turf Fields
4 p.m. FoodFest (for all WVU students, wristband required) – Evansdale, Short Term Lot 4 near Student Rec Center and Evansdale Crossing
Feed your inner foodie and try a variety of cuisines. All students who want to participate in FoodFest need a wristband.
5 p.m. (gates open at 4 p.m.) FallFest  (for all WVU students, wristband required) – Evansdale Rec Fields
An evening of music and fun! This year’s performers are Lil Yachty, Brothers Osborne and MisterWives. All students who want to participate in FallFest need a wristband. WVU students with a wristband may bring one guest. Guests must be at least 17 years old and present a valid photo ID. Guests and their WVU student host should enter FallFest at the same time; unaccompanied guests will not be admitted. 

WVU faculty and staff may attend FallFest with a valid WVU ID. Today's wristband activation location is outside Bennett Tower, Evansdale (look for tents and signs).

5:30 p.m. Veterans Welcome Back Weekend –  WVU Natural Resources Conference Center
For student veterans and their spouses or partners. Bus transportation will be available.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Following a reception, presenters from across campus will host a series of seminars on the resources available at WVU to support student veterans. The seminars also are open to faculty and staff.

For student veterans and their families. Free activities begin at 9 a.m. and include a ropes course, kayaking, mountain biking and more.
